Wycombe House Cricket Club Colts History
Wycombe House is known throughout the county for its youth system and
even beyond on a national level! It has a rich history in producing
talent that has gone onto play at the very highest level of cricket.
Wycombe House Cricket Club - Former Players
Wycombe House has produced some of the finest talent on the
Professional county circuit today and has consistently produced both
county and England youth team players, county second XI players (17 in
the last 11 years), fully contracted professionals (Jamie Hewitt -
Kent CCC,
Joel Pope - Leicestershire CCC,
Ben Scott - Middlesex CCC, )
and even two with England honours (Owais Shah - Middlesex); one of
which still remains as a current First XI squad member and as a coach!
(Shaftab
Khalid). Wycombe House Cricket Club - Current Players
Wycombe House is most certainly not a club that lives in the past,
the current crop of youngsters coming through boasts numerous county
colts at various age groups representing Middlesex predominantly but
also other counties.
We currently have one Colt playing for the Middlesex second team,
one playing for England Under 14s and hope others will progress too
and it seems that we shall be producing even more county standard
players in the near future. There really is no better club in West
London for your child to belong to if they wish to ultimately play at
the top level of cricket.
Wycombe House Cricket Club - Achievements and Awards
Wycombe House has continued year upon year to win league and cup
trophies throughout the age groups, the club also boasts the rare
achievement of winning the
National Under 13 Ken Barrington Cup on three
occasions! |
